Our qualified professionals specialize in helping families build individualized care plans for their children – which can range from advocacy, educational support, therapy, medical and medication management, and basic needs to behavioral health intervention, mental health and natural supports for the entire family.

We do this by connecting you with the right resources. Our approach is proactive and evidence-based, and we always carefully customize based on your family’s unique circumstances.

Meet the CAP Team

  • Arthesian Tillery – Care Coordinator

    Arthesian earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice Minor from Ashford University in Clinton, IA. With experience in providing crisis intervention, care coordination, and advocacy. His work began at Family Resources from 2017-2020 as an Engaging Males Advocate and Service Coordinator, Arthesian served to provide support to boys and men in reducing their trauma due to violent crimes, and serve as an advocate for domestic violent victims and families by assisting them to access community resources. Transitioning from Family Resources during 2020, Arthesian served as a Family Support Specialist working closely with the Juvenile Court Systems and Department of Human Services (Child Welfare) to assist with the goal of reunification of children to their families. Arthesian loves empowering others and is dedicated to the growth and advancement of youth and families within the Quad Cities.

  • Hannah Ellis-Ackerman – Care Coordinator

    Hannah has worked serving families in the Quad Cities and extended Quad Cities area for the last ten years in a variety of ways. During this time, Hannah has worked in juvenile justice, serving new and young parents in family support as well as pregnancy, labor and postpartum support, as well as families who are involved in foster care and child welfare, and has an array of knowledge serving LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent populations. Hannah prides herself in being able to support and serve families in the most strengths-based and trauma-informed way possible. Hannah believes herself very fortunate to be trained and certified in a multitude of areas that allow her to serve her community to the best of her ability.

    Currently, Hannah serves on the board of directors for the Family Planning Council of Iowa as well as the local Zero Suicide Initiative and Suicide Prevention Task Force.

  • Alexis Potratz – Care Coordinator

    Alexis has worked within the community for 10 years. Her passion for helping others started at a young age growing up with a twin sister who had intellectual and behavioral diagnoses. Alexis has an array of experience in care coordination, specifically with individuals that are disabled and those involved in systems that benefited from assistance with getting back on their feet and able to live on their own in the community. Alexis also has experience in school systems, especially working with students with IEPS. She loved working with youth and helping them succeed both in school and in the community. Alexis is very excited to be able to continue working with kids and their families and providing support.

  • Anessa Martinez - Care Coordinator

    Anessa joined Family Resources in 2021 providing support in areas of crisis de-escalation, working with at-risk populations and medication management. For the past 9 years, Anessa served as a traveling CNA/Medication Aide serving patients in need of physical, psychological and residential care. Her passion has always been to work in a field where she would be able to help individuals live successful lives. She feels she has been able to live out her passion through Family Resources’ mission and values. Anessa has lived experience caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities and a deep knowledge of IEP and ID Waiver services. Anessa’s lived experiences have lit a strong desire in her to advocate for others who may not be able to advocate for themselves.
